1999 brought in a number of changes to the 911. Most significantly there was the change to a (first ever) water-cooled flat six engine—but there were other tweaks too: a longer wheelbase, power-steering, and creature comforts added into the interior. At the time, Porsche purists considered these updates heretical. Over 20 years later, history has proven this vintage of Carerra one of the best to meet the road.
